I'm so happy to say my driving lessons clearly paid off – I passed my test! I went into the test feeling super prepared. Jas was incredibly patient and calm and always reminded me to stay confident, which really helped me manage my nerves. The staff at Logic were also amazing; they made the whole process of booking my test so easy and stress-free. I highly recommend Logic Driving School and Jas in particular to anyone looking for a supportive learning environment.

Eligibility Criteria And Professional Standards

To begin training, we require a full UK driving licence held for at least four years, with fewer than six penalty points and no driving ban within the past four years. A successful Enhanced DBS check, formerly known as a CRB check, is essential. We also ensure each candidate meets DVSA expectations of being a fit and proper person before progressing through the qualification process. Join our team and start shaping your own successful career path.

Comprehensive Instructor Training And Ongoing Support

We deliver specialist instructor training with no caps on training hours, combining classroom sessions and one-to-one road experience. Full preparation is provided for all three qualification parts, with Part 3, teaching ability, introduced from the outset. Training materials are supplied, with simple pay-as-you-go fees. After passing Part 2, earn while learning on a trainee licence. Let us help you thrive within our growing team.

Your Path To Becoming A Qualified Driving Instructor

At Logic, we guide you through each stage of the qualification process with structured preparation and ongoing support. The journey consists of three separate examinations, each designed to assess knowledge, driving ability, and instructional skill. We provide tailored training, practical experience, and flexible sessions to suit your availability. With Logic supporting your progress, let us help you move confidently toward achieving your green badge and building a rewarding new career. Get in touch for support.

Part 1 – Theory And Hazard Perception

Part 1 includes a theory and hazard perception test. The theory section contains 100 questions across four categories, requiring at least 85 correct answers and a pass in each category within 90 minutes. The hazard perception section features 14 video clips, including one with two hazards, with a required score of 57 out of 75. There is no limit on attempts. Parts 2 and 3 must be passed within two years.

Part 2 – Advanced Driving Ability

Part 2 is an advanced driving test lasting around one hour. It includes an eyesight check and vehicle safety and maintenance questions. A maximum of five minor faults is permitted, with up to three attempts allowed. We provide one-to-one in-car training, covering manoeuvres and mock test routes. After passing, take advantage of a sponsored trainee licence to gain experience teaching real pupils while progressing further.

Part 3 – Instructional Ability Assessment

Part 3 evaluates instructional and teaching ability. An examiner observes from the rear seat while you deliver a structured lesson, assessing instructional techniques, core competencies, risk management, and adaptability. A minimum score of 31 out of 51 is required to pass. At Logic, we begin Part 3 preparation from the outset with no cap on training hours. After passing, apply for a green badge and join the approved instructor register, and let us supply pupils to support your earnings.
